Extra Curricular Classes

We provide many varied extra-curricular classes covering physical activity, drama, IT and foreign languages. With the exception of IT all our activities are free of charge for all children on our register whether they attend on the day of the classes or not. If you want your child to attend a class on a day they are not attending nursery, then you can simply bring them in and enjoy the class with them.

Below is a list of the classes we offer and when they are scheduled at each setting

Stretch and Grow…

The main Stretch-n-Grow programme is for children from around 2 ½ years up to 7years. Stretch-n-Grow follows the New EYFS curriculum in England and Curriculum for Excellence in Scotland. The children as well as doing an exercise class, learn about their bodies and the importance of eating healthily.

Debutots…

Debutots is a unique blend of interactive storytelling and dramatic play for 6 months to 7 years. In exploring our stories vocally and physically we facilitate children's literacy and communication development. They speak, listen, imagine, observe and do.

Hartbeeps…

Hartbeeps create exciting developmental programmes for babies and young children using the medium of specially created sound systems, sound effects, music and song; much like an interactive musical for very young ones.

Le Club Fracais…

In Le Club Français, all the teachers are qualified linguists and children learn French by mimicking the sounds they hear, learning with songs, stories, games and activities in the language.

Dramavision…

Dramavision classes give each child an opportunity to discover their talents, ignite their imagination, gain confidence to express themselves and develop key skills while having fun. Drama helps develop confident communicators who learn to work together. Physically the children develop co-ordination, agility and poise while developing a rich, colourful imagination.

Sportychamps…

The many benefits of Sporty Champs include teaching kids essential life skills, improving co-ordination and enhancing communication while teaching the basics of all sports. Our sessions at nurseries, schools and parks have been created for different age groups and development levels, and are designed to be fun and a great learning experience.

See Hear Effects…

The See Hear Effects music activity is a unique view of showing children the way musical instruments are made, played and enjoyed with a brief historical background, a look at how and what it is made of and the all important hands on playing experience. Using music videos from artists such as Bowie to Grandmaster Flash, the class is able to show how the instrument they are playing has influenced modern music culture and complements other instruments played along side it. Instruments included each week vary from tambourine, slide whistles and triangles to guiro, shakers and turntables.
